Malawi falls close to the end of the African Rift Valley, from that the country has so many beautiful landscapes from the highlands in the west such as Nyika about 3000m high, to the stunning lake in the east stretching over 600km long.

The world’s first freshwater national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, popular for spectacular diving with an array of colourful Cichlids (a kind of fish, many endemic to Lake Malawi). Lake Malawi National Park

Liwonde is well known for its walking safaris and canoe trips, this is due to the lack of predators in the area. There are many affordable camps close to the entrance of the park. The park is situated in the south of Malawi.

Liwonde National Park

This spectacular mountain lies just east of the town Blantyre. It is about 3000m high and has many different hiking trails. There is wildlife on this massive mountain, mostly small antelope, mammals and a variety of birds.

Mount Mulanje

Malawi’s largest national park situated in the northern area of Malawi. The park has one of the highest densities of leopard reordered in southern Africa. Nyika is popular for mountain biking and horseback safaris. The game is mostly antelope, zebra and warthogs but lions have been seen on the plateaus. There are many different safari lodges to choose from in the area.

Nyika National Park

One of the most popular game reserves in Malawi. Conservation is a big part of this reserve and many animals were relocated to Majeti, this is now one of the only places in Malawi to view the big 5. There are many campsites in the reserve and a few luxury lodges.
